Bridesmaids Bash in the WPC Showroom
Join us as we take you through our inaugural Bridesmaids Bash. An exclusive event held in our lovely London showroom for brides-to-be and their bridesmaids. What do you get when you add bespoke cocktails, a grazing island of canapés, makeovers and a blow dry bar with a host of some of the best wedding suppliers? The Wedding Present Company's Bridesmaids Bash, that’s what. A whole host of gorgeous brides-to-be and their bridesmaids descended onto our London Showroom in the heart of Chelsea for a spoiling evening of shopping and pampering – the ultimate girls night out.
Flowers
Flowers were done by our absolute go-to florist for weddings and events – the glorious Millie Richardson. Established in 2015 following Millie’s training at the prestigious Judith Blacklock Flower School in Knightsbridge, Millie now operates her studio out of the glorious Cotswold countryside where she lives with her 9 month old son Kit, and her husband.
Millie's style is very natural and romantic and she aims to offer an alternative to the traditional methods of flower arranging. With a love of the whimsical and fresh, Millie and her team create lush and natural arrangements which celebrate seasonal blooms and foliage to ensure that her wedding, event and party flower commissions are as beautiful and natural as they can possibly be.
Millie worked her magic and created a meadow by our bar, dressed the dining table and kitchen island and took over the garden upstairs to run a bespoke hand-tied bouquet workshop. Taking our brief of ‘Fresh Spring Sunshine’ Millie once again took our ideas and made them a thousand times better. If you’re looking for a seriously talented florist, whose gorgeous personality is the only think to outshine her flowers, then Millie is your girl. Specialising in marquee weddings and luxury venues, Millie’s eye is one you want on your wedding team.
Cocktails & Wine
The Cocktail Service took over the WPC bar and spoiled us with their generous measures in their delicious cocktails. Dressed the part with the best smiles to boot, these guys are just the best of the best. If you’re looking for a bespoke cocktail company to man your wedding bar, these are your guys.
Mirabeau Wine, our top top top top rose makers spoiled us all rotten with bottle upon bottle of their delicious sparkling pink, La Folie. This is a serious contender for your wedding fizz ladies.
Cake & Canapés
The gorgeous Clare and Sarah, founders of Doggart & Squash, created a seriously mouth-watering display of canapés and cake, taking over the entire island of our kitchen.
Canapés included:
- Cornish Crab with Smashed Avocado, Lemon and Coriander on a Charcoal Oatcake
- Tuna Tataki with Shredded Daikon, Chilli Salsa, Crispy Fried Onion and a Truffled Ponzu Dipping Sauce
- Fennel Scones with Gruyere with Pickled Fennel and Cream Cheese
- Truffled Honey Ricotta and Crispy Pancetta on Crostini
- Pea and Mint Puree with Vegan Cream Cheese in Filo Cups
If you’re looking for a seriously cool caterer to create a bespoke menu for your wedding, look no further – Doggart & Squash are your go to girls.
Pampering
Brides and their babes were treating to some mega pampering from some of the best in the biz. The gorgeous Sophie from Beautisserie was on hand to dish out some expert advice on wedding make up, whilst doing mini makeovers. A make up artists to the stars, and a regular contributer to Conde Nast Brides and Glamour, Sophie knows her shiz when it comes to the best in bridal make up for you and your babes.
Blush + Blow transformed our sitting room area into a mini blow dry bar. Their salon in London is THE place to go to for blow-dries and they also offer a complete wedding package for you and your bridal party.
Entertainment
One for the maids of honour and bridesmaids, Cluck were on hand to dish out top tips for organising a hen do that’s bloody cool that your bride is guaranteed to love. These guys know how to throw a serious party that packs a punch in the style stakes. No bloody L plates or ghastly feather boas here, thank you very much.
Sharkey and George transformed our wall of fame area into corner of serious fun, showcasing just a few of their bespoke ideas for entertaining the kiddos at your wedding. Think biscuit decoration, home-made truffle making masterclasses – so good we think we might stick with the kids at the next wedding we go to.
Fashion
A mega fashion fix came from our main girls Fran and Katie at Rewritten. Damn cool bridesmaids dresses for damn cool bridesmaids, enough said. Designed and made in London, these girls are onto a total winner. You won’t find better quality dresses that your bridesmaids are guaranteed to love (and wear again) anywhere else. Don’t get us started on their new Soho jumpsuit. OB.SESSED.
The morning of your wedding will most likely be documented like Brexit negotiations, so you want to make sure you and your bridesmaids look the part. Cue Desmond & Dempsey – purveyors of some of the most beautiful cotton pyjamas available. Showcasing some of their most popular wedding styles, they were flying off the rails.
The ridiculous talent that is Davina Combe had us all drooling over her gorgeous jewellery. The perfect wedding day jewellery or bridesmaids presents, these are timeless designs you will love forever.
