Launching 'The Almost Wife' with Jade Beer and Brides Magazine

Tuesday 17^th July saw the doors of our London showroom swing open to host an exclusive party to celebrate the launch of The Almost Wife, the debut novel from Brides Editor, Jade Beer.

Brides readers were invited to join Jade as she celebrated the launch of The Almost Wife, with an evening of cocktails, canapés, wedding cake, bridal fashion, live music and manicures from some of the best suppliers in the wedding industry.

Sue Barnes and her amazing team at Lavender Green Flowers styled and scented our showroom with the most beautiful flowers you have ever seen. Loose, romantic, foliage heavy with pops of stunning fuchsia pink transformed the showroom into a haven of floral deliciousness! A stand out installation went up the length of the staircase, cascading out at the bottom. Large arrangements donned the bar and the entrance to the showroom for maximum wow factor as guests arrived. Experts when it comes to wedding flowers, Sue and her team were on hand all evening to chat to brides-to-be about their wedding flowers, and Sue even drew her infamous bouquet sketches for lucky brides to be; listening to the style of dress they have chosen, or that they dream of, and sketching it with a bouquet that she thinks would perfectly compliment it.

Guests were catered for by the formidable pairing that is Two Many Cooks and Mix Masters. Two Many Cooks are a family run bespoke catering company who are renowned for their delicious food and pristine presentation. Emily and her team delivered a grazing station of insatiable canapés that made the WPC kitchen the most popular room of the night! Mobile bar specialists Mix Masters created two bespoke cocktails for Jade, which were served from the WPC bar. I’m not sure they stopped shaking cocktails once all evening!

Adding to the party spirit were the delicious Juke Joints. A roaming band from music event specialists ALR Music, The Juke Joints melted the heart of every woman in the room with their upbeat covers of all your favourite songs. The perfect wedding band - the boys sure know how to work a room!

The Hazlebury Kitchen baked the most delicious 4-tier cake, which was cut and served to guests. Specialising in traditional sponge cakes, Poppy and her team are also making waves in the wedding world for their just-as-delicious vegan wedding cakes. You’d never know!

The WPC bedroom was transformed into every brides dream room, with stunning wedding dresses from two leading bridal designers; Halfpenny London and Savannah Miller. Both designers were present, along with a selection of their favourite designs, to chat to brides to be. Jade hosted a Q&A where brides-to-be were invited to ask both Kate Halfpenny and Savannah Miller and questions they might have when it comes to choosing the perfect wedding dress. To top this off, the amazing Blossom and Jasmine were also doing complimentary manicures.

Of course, the purpose of the evening was to celebrate the launch of Jade’s debut novel, The Almost Wife. Jade was on hand to give readers exclusive signed copies of the book and give them a personal insight into the key characters of the book.
