The Wedding Present Café x Miss Bush & Suzanne Neville

Introducing The Wedding Present Café - a sensational pop up of our London Showroom in leafy Surrey, next door to the incredible Miss Bush Bridal Boutique. Designed to be the perfect partner to Miss Bush's annual Suzanne Neville Designer Day, the café was the ideal meeting point for brides to be and their guest both before and after their private appointment in the Bush chapel. Read on to find out how we created this beautiful space, and find out what makes the Suzanne Neville Designer Day at Miss Bush so special.

Location

Miss Bush Luxury Bridal Boutique shining in the sun. Based in Ripley, Surrey.

The Suzanne Neville Designer Day took place at the legendary Miss Bush Chapel in Ripley, Surrey. Brides-to-be booked private appointments to meet with Suzanne Neville herself, and got exclusive access to her brand new 2020 Flores Collection. Suzanne and the incredible Miss Bush team were on hand to discuss bespoke details and couture, made to measure options. Following this private consultation, Suzanne gave each bride a hand-drawn sketch of their wedding dress design to take home, the perfect keep-sake for those that committed on the day and a brilliant reminder for those still deciding.

At previous Suzanne Neville Designer Days, the Miss Bush team found it a challenge to manage the arrivals of brides-to-be for their appointments, whilst maintaining the privacy for brides already in their appointments. Luckily, they have a beautiful café situated right next door, Nest, and this was to become the home of The Wedding Present Café for the next 12 hours, which would act as a safe space for brides to come and relax before and after their appointments.

We transformed the café into a pop up version of our London Showroom, complete with presents and room sets just like you would see in our showroom. 'Checking In' before their appointment next door at the chapel, brides were treated to stunning barista coffees or artisinal teas, served in Bush yellow mugs from Cornish Ware, and delicious nibbles from luxury wedding and event caterers Caper & Berry

After their appointment, the café served as the perfect space to come and discuss the beautiful dress options they had seen, with some brides celebrating that all important dress purchase over a glass of fizz!

As dusk approached, we changed the playlist to full party mode and hosted a cocktail reception for all brides that had attended throughout the day, before they went back next door to the chapel to watch an exclusive behind the scenes video from the stunning Suzanne Neville workshop, by Clementine Cusack Films

A Little Help From Our Friends

Taking over an established space and transforming it into something brand new for less that 12 hours was no mean feat and we couldn't have done it without the love and support of some of our most-loved industry friends; some of the best in the wedding industry, in our humble opinion!

Our first shout out goes to the gorgeous Ellie from ERA Calligraphy. Ellie helped us with the branding of the café, coming up with a beautiful logo and designing and printing all our signage, both indoors and outdoors. Ellie's style is so effortlessly elegant and her approach to modern calligraphy and wedding stationery is awe-inspiring.

Ellie became an extended member of the WPC team during set up and set down, and during the day was on hand to do mini demonstrations for brides and their guests.

When it comes to insanely beautiful flowers, we looked no further than our gorgeous floral fairy godmother, Alison and her ridiculously talented team from Mad Lilies. Ali and her team created a stunning flower arch for the entrance of the café and filled our beautiful vases from The Vintage List with deliciously scented poseys.

Ali and her team have such natural talent for loose, wild and romantic floral installations and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Caper and Berry kept brides and their guests fed and watered throughout the day with a beautiful display of pastries and infused waters. As evening approached they spoiled us all with the most delicious array of canapés and some seriously impressive cocktails.
