Location

We chose to get married in the lovely Wiltshire village where my mother lives, Ramsbury, in the local church with our marquee reception in our garden. We got engaged in Ramsbury so it seemed like the perfect full circle to get married here. Ed proposed with a stunning ring designed by him with the very talented Julia Lloyd George, made with a rare pariba tourmaline stone and diamonds.

Marquee

Ed and Harriet's classic marquee.
Ed and Harriet's traditional marquee by Papakata.

We chose Papakata for our marquee as a few of our friends had used them and had raved about how brilliant they had been. We also love their style so we didn't even contemplate looking elsewhere. They produced a marquee for us that was exactly what we had envisaged, and were so friendly and helpful. I couldnt recommend them highly enough!

The inside of the marquee - all the decor was provided by Papakata.

We dreamed of creating a relaxed boho inspired look and feel, that would compliment the English countryside garden setting. Papakata provided all of the décor to really make our marquee a total showstopper, including all of tables, chairs, outdoor area, festoon lighting and bar.

Transport

Ed and Harriet's wedding transport - a mini Kubota.

I walked from my Mother’s house to the church, it's a matter of minutes and was so lovely to see some local faces along the way who all cheered as we entered the church gates. Two of Ed’s ushers drove us from the church to the marquee in a mini Kubota, which the ushers had decorated the morning of the wedding. They were decked out in chauffeurs hats and it was one of our favourite moments of the day!

Flowers

Chrissie Wiltshire was just incredible. She understood exactly what we wanted to achieve and I couldn’t believe the marquee and in particular, the church. My godmother made my bouquet which I wanted to be loose and romantic with lots of green, as though it had been picked from the garden. It included a rose from my Mother's garden called ‘Shropshire Lad’ – where Ed is from.

Bridal Fashion

I chose the 'Mia' dress from Pronovias. I adored the bateau neckline and the low back, and the lace and tulle combination. It was the perfect choice for our boho inspired relaxed garden wedding. I loved that I could dance in it all night long, it felt very me.

My shoes were from LK Bennett and I then changed into some Superga flatforms which had been decorated with my new married name 'Mrs Jenks', along with pink ribbon as laces.

I wore a family tiara for the ceremony, which was so special.

Hair & Make Up

The Gallery Hair and Nail Studio Aldbourne did my hair at home the morning of the wedding and I did my make up myself, sitting on my bedroom floor with my maid of honour!

Groom's Fashion

Ed wore a traditional morning suit, and had a new waistcoat made by Peregrine and Jude using a fabric from Bernard Thorp (where I work, and incidentally who provide fabrics for one of The Wedding Present Co. suppliers KD Loves by Kelling Designs!).

Alex Barker Catering created a delicious bespoke menu for us of canapés, a plated main course and sharing dessert boards. We forego a traditional wedding cake for a Cheese Cake, made up of delicious wheels of different types of cheese.

Drinks wise we had lots of rosé! We also had Ramsbury Beer which is brewed locally, Tanners white and red wine and cocktails.

We absolutely loved working with Stories by Jules – she couldn’t have captured our day more perfectly and was such fun to be around.

Videographer

Hewie Dalrymple from 22 North Productions was absolutely brilliant. I have watched our video about 34235 times since the wedding and I cry every time! He has captured the essence of the day and the atmosphere absolutely perfectly.
