Set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, real WPC couple Harriett and Ed's beautiful English garden, relaxed boho inspired wedding is a serious showstopper, and just perfect for its gorgeous countryside setting. With a stunning Papakata marquee, the most stunning flowers you have ever seen and a stunning Pronovias dress, this is one to really settle into. Beautiful bride Harriett tells us how her glorious day came together, and shares her dream team of wedding suppliers.
The whole experience was so fun and exciting. The showroom is laid out in the style of my dream home, I could move in tomorrow. The girls were so informative and friendly and I loved how personal and bespoke the whole experience was. The WPC throw the best drinks parties with lots of suppliers opening up so many possibilities to make your wedding different. I found this really helpful! We had such a brilliant experience and would recommend WPC to all of our friends without hesitation!
We chose to get married in the lovely Wiltshire village where my mother lives, Ramsbury, in the local church with our marquee reception in our garden. We got engaged in Ramsbury so it seemed like the perfect full circle to get married here. Ed proposed with a stunning ring designed by him with the very talented Julia Lloyd George, made with a rare pariba tourmaline stone and diamonds.
We chose Papakata for our marquee as a few of our friends had used them and had raved about how brilliant they had been. We also love their style so we didn't even contemplate looking elsewhere. They produced a marquee for us that was exactly what we had envisaged, and were so friendly and helpful. I couldnt recommend them highly enough!
We dreamed of creating a relaxed boho inspired look and feel, that would compliment the English countryside garden setting. Papakata provided all of the décor to really make our marquee a total showstopper, including all of tables, chairs, outdoor area, festoon lighting and bar.
I walked from my Mother’s house to the church, it's a matter of minutes and was so lovely to see some local faces along the way who all cheered as we entered the church gates. Two of Ed’s ushers drove us from the church to the marquee in a mini Kubota, which the ushers had decorated the morning of the wedding. They were decked out in chauffeurs hats and it was one of our favourite moments of the day!
Chrissie Wiltshire was just incredible. She understood exactly what we wanted to achieve and I couldn’t believe the marquee and in particular, the church. My godmother made my bouquet which I wanted to be loose and romantic with lots of green, as though it had been picked from the garden. It included a rose from my Mother's garden called ‘Shropshire Lad’ – where Ed is from.
I chose the 'Mia' dress from Pronovias. I adored the bateau neckline and the low back, and the lace and tulle combination. It was the perfect choice for our boho inspired relaxed garden wedding. I loved that I could dance in it all night long, it felt very me.
I wore a family tiara for the ceremony, which was so special.
The Gallery Hair and Nail Studio Aldbourne did my hair at home the morning of the wedding and I did my make up myself, sitting on my bedroom floor with my maid of honour!
My cousins children were our flower girls and page boys and looked heavenly in gorgoeus outfits from Amelia Brennan.
My best friend was my maid of honour and wore a dress of her own choice.
Alex Barker Catering created a delicious bespoke menu for us of canapés, a plated main course and sharing dessert boards. We forego a traditional wedding cake for a Cheese Cake, made up of delicious wheels of different types of cheese.
We absolutely loved working with Stories by Jules – she couldn’t have captured our day more perfectly and was such fun to be around.
Hewie Dalrymple from 22 North Productions was absolutely brilliant. I have watched our video about 34235 times since the wedding and I cry every time! He has captured the essence of the day and the atmosphere absolutely perfectly.
