Instructions: The ceramic grinding mechanism operates with a clockwise motion and should only be used when filled with black peppercorns or dry rock salt up to 4 mm in size; do not use sea salt, wet salt, dried wet salt, or pink peppercorns. Tightening the grind adjustment button makes the grind finer, but it should not be overtightened to avoid damaging the ceramic mechanism. The item should not be left in prolonged direct sunlight and should be wiped with a soft damp cloth only, without immersing in water.
