The Wedding Present Company 2020 Wedding Showcase

Behind the scenes of our annual Wedding Showcase, held in our London Showroom. We assembled a hand-picked selection of some of our most-loved wedding supplier friends, making it the ultimate destination for brides and grooms planning a stylish and unique wedding. Read on to find out more about all of the amazing suppliers we had on board, and see exclusive behind the scenes photos and videos from the night.

Our fifth, and biggest, wedding showcase - this year was a year to remember. Tickets sold out and it's not hard to see why. We were bowled over by the amazing collection of wedding suppliers we had on board this year - all hand-picked by the WPC team following a personal experience. We know how far a personal recommendation goes, it's how most of our lovely couples find us, so we wanted to share the love and introduce engaged brides and grooms to some of our wonderful friends in the industry.

Cocktails

A regular at any WPC party, The Cocktail Service returned and took over our showroom bar, transforming it to rival some of London's best cocktail bars. They showcased three delicious cocktails from their new botanical menu, as well as mocktails and free-flowing Champagne from Perrier-Jouet. Greeting couples as they came in, the bar was complimentary all night and set the tone brilliantly for the evening.

The Cocktail Service are our go-to for mobile bar hire. Their team and innovative cocktails are second to none, and they can work within any venue or marquee set up to ensure the drinks flow with flair and ease all night long. If you’re looking for a bespoke cocktail company to man your wedding bar, these are your guys.

Flowers

The incredible Millie Richardson returned to our showroom for the third time to transform it into a floral fantasy-land. Millie and her team created the most incredible installation, tranforming our staircase into a fluffy, flowery dream! Entirely foam free, this was the definition of sustainable floristry and a week later the installation has dried and looks just as beautiful!

Millie is an expert when it comes to loose, romantic, wild flowers that come with a serious wow-factor, and she aims to offer an alternative to the traditional methods of flower arranging. She has a known track record to transform any venue or marquee to into something breath-takingly beautiful and memorable. With a love of the whimsical and fresh, Millie and her team create lush and natural arrangements which celebrate seasonal blooms and foliage to ensure that her wedding, event and party flower commissions are as beautiful and natural as they can possibly be. Specialising in marquee weddings and luxury venues, Millie’s eye is one you want on your wedding team.

Bridal Fashion

Our go-to luxury bridal boutique, Miss Bush, delivered the fashion for the evening with an exclusive preview of the new Jesus Piero collection. Housing the largest selection of this epitmous Spanish bridal brand, team Bush delivered mini fashion shows giving brides-to-be an exclusive look at the new collection.

Miss Bush showcased a couple of their favourites from the collection to display on the mannequins; the innovative style 208 (made from recycled plastic bottles!) and the high-necked 204 lace t-shirt dress.

They chose the showstopping style 218 for their lovely model, Chloe, to wear on the evening. The top-to-toe sparkles with an ethereal floaty train and romantic full bishop sleeves stopped everyone in their tracks as Chloe wandered around our showroom.

Canapés & Wedding Cake

The wonderful Two Many Cooks created a mouth-watering display of bespoke canapés, transforming our kitchen island into the ultimate grazing station for guests to enjoy. Emily and her team are experts when it comes to bespoke wedding and event catering that looks as delicious as it tastes. They created the most delectable menu, specifically for the showcase, which included options to suit all dietary requirements:

Smoked Salmon, Beetroot Puree, Fennel Nutter Cookies
Sumac Chicken Skewers with Harissa Dip, Micro Coriander
Filo Cups with Spicy Thai Prawns, Micro Coriander
Goat’s Curd, Honeycomb, Thyme & Brioche Croute
Mushroom and Butternut Vegan Rolls
Cayenne and Parmesan Cheese Straws

They also wowed us with a three tier wedding cake, the perfect post canapé sugar-high!

Jo Malone London

The amazing team from Jo Malone London came and transformed an area of our bedroom into a haven of hand massages and tips for scenting your wedding. Showcasing all their beautiful scents, alongside their candles and diffusers it was a truly spoiling experience.

Bridesmaids, Page Boys & Flower Girls

Your bridal party were totally covered thanks to the amazing Maids to Measure and Pipkin Clothing. Our great friends at Maids to Measure bought their latest collection of stunning bridesmaids dresses and wowed brides-to-be with their extensive choice of colours available across all their designs. These are the definition of bridesmaids dresses that your girls would love to wear again.

Pipkin Clothing offers timeless childrens clothes for boys and girls aged 3 months - 9 years. All lovingly handmade, the clothes are comfortable and effortlessly stylish. Perfect for those angelic page boys and flower girls!

Marquee & Music

The incredible Inside Outside Marquees were on hand to offer unwavering advice to couples considering a marquee wedding reception. Experts in their field, their portfolio of stunning wedding marquees in second to none. Showcasing some of the amazing marquees they have produced, it provided some serious marquee inspiration to our brides and grooms.

No wedding is complete without some top-notch music and our absolute go-to is House of Lemon. With an incredible roster of bands to suit all tastes and budgets, you're sure to find a band that will fit the bill for your big day. From acoustic sets for the ceremony, to roaming bands for the champagne reception to full blown live band and DJ sets for the party, House of Lemon will help you to handpick the perfect music for your special day. Providing live music for the night, they really got the party going!

Calligraphy

Our go-to calligrapher and stationer for all things wedding and event related, Ellie Pryer from ERA Calligraphy, graced us with her presence and set up a beautiful stand showcasing her stunning wedding stationery and modern calligraphy. Ellie can produce full bespoke wedding stationery suites that covers everything you could ever need. She also has a beautiful 'house' collection which can be personalised, and offers modern calligraphy workshops for those brides wanting to learn the skill for themselves.

The Beauty Corner

The amazing award winning Carolanne Armstrong and Sharon Roberts took over a corner of our showroom and turned it into their very own mini salon. Carolanne was one hand to chat all things make up with brides to be, and showcased her love for natural make up that is designed to enhance the natural beauty of her brides. Sharon was busy all night showing off her super speedy up-dos and helping brides consider the right type of hair style for their wedding day.

Photography, Videography & Photobooth

No event would be complete without someone special there to capture it, and we were seriously spoiled to have a photographer, videographer AND a photobooth. The amazing brother and sister duo Jojo and George from Jorge Events brilliantly captured the atmosphere of the evening with their brilliant images and video. And then there's The Boomerang Booth. Hands down the most fun addition to ANY party! Causing countless laughs, we had couples booking it for their weddings right there and then - it really is the ultimate addition to any party.

Highlighting some of our most loved suppliers in the showroom, we were dishing out our top wedding list tips to couples, as well as giving them plenty of inspiration along the way.
