Founded by fashion journalist Louise Roe, Sharland England is a celebration of all things nostalgic. A pipe dream-turned reality, Louise is finally putting into practice her greatest joy: interior design.

We all need a little comfort and nostalgia surrounding us at home...‘Sharland’ is the maiden name Louise' great grandmother. Three generations of her family lived in Buenos Aires; all strong British women with a wicked sense of humour and a refined sense of style.

Growing up in the English countryside, Louise's home was peppered with antique chintz, rattan, cane and patina’d wooden furniture. She was surrounded by the warmth, tradition and nostalgia these pieces evoked, which is where the inspiration for Sharland England was born. 

Louise's childhood memories inspired the identity and aesthetic at the core of Sharland England. Blending history, hand and tool, they support local artisans and craftspeople, using techniques passed down over centuries. Their wicker is sustainably sourced using entirely natural rattan, and made slowly, by hand, with the greatest of intention and care. Linens are of the highest quality, with hand-block print and hand-embroidery detailing, making every single Sharland piece an heirloom-worthy investment.
