Read on to hear the details of their wedding day and be seriously inspired by their stunning wedding gift list.
We really enjoyed our visit to The Wedding Present Company showroom in London. It was so exciting receiving notifications of gifts when they were purchased by our friends and family, and we loved receiving the messages that our loved ones had added to the gifts, it was so special.
We loved the thought of being able to choose wedding gifts from all of our favourite brands, instead of being restricted to just one! The variety of wedding presents allowed our friends and family to pick special wedding gifts that they also liked too.
We are so excited to receive all of our wedding presents, but we're most excited the receive the kitchenware items from our gift list. We love entertaining and we are can't wait to serve yummy food on the beautiful dishes to all our loved ones who so generously bought them for us.
Nick intended to propose in the Lake District, where we got married, but unfortunately, Covid put a curve ball in his plans. He therefore proposed during lockdown, at home, after cooking a beautiful supper, which was very lovely and intimate.
We didn’t have a set theme for our special day, but we went with a spring garden marquee wedding, surrounded by flowers, which was perfect. Our colour palette was focused around sage green, neutrals and white. We just went for a traditional English wedding, and all we really wanted was for our guests to have a fun and joyful day!
We hired items from Narrative Hire but I (Hope) did the styling. I really enjoyed styling my own wedding as it meant that everything was exactly how I wanted!
Our wedding was at St Mary’s Church, Kirkby Lonsdale and Underley Grange, Carnforth
Original Marquees – we actually discovered The Wedding Present Company at an open day hosted by Original Marquees! The team at Original Marquees were amazing and our traditional pole wedding marquee was everything we had hoped for.
Bluebells and Daisies did all our beautiful wedding flowers in a pallette of white and cream with lots of greenery - keeping it simple whilst also classy.
My wedding dress and lace jacket were from Sassi Holford. My wedding shoes were from Emmy London and my full length veil was from The Couture Veil.
My makeup was done by Keseme Bridal Makeup and my hair was done by Love & Hair Bridal. I couldn’t fault either of them, they did my hair and makeup exactly how I wanted!
Nick’s morning suit was from Neal & Palmer. His waistcoat was from Favourbrook and his tie from Ferragamo
Our bridesmaids wore stunning pale blue bridesmaids dresses from Maids To Measure. Our flower girls and page boys wore outfits from Amelia Brennan. We loved their outfits and were so glad we went with them!
Our wedding photographer was Ailsa Reeve Photography. She captured the essence of our wedding day perfectly
Nyetimber Champagne, Aperol Spritz, Picante cocktails and Breakspear beer. Followed by Guigal red wine, Louis Latour white wine, and Muscat Beaumes de Venise pudding wine. All of our drinks were perfect and our guests really enjoyed them too!
Our DJ was Tom Lunn, and our first dance was to ‘Days Like This’ by Van Morrison, which is one of our favourite songs
Our stationary was from Emma Bradstreet and it perfectly matched the colour theme of the wedding!
Walking into the marquee to Gimme Some Lovin by Spencer Davis Group, with everyone singing along and waving their napkins in the air.
Make sure you take some time on the day to stand together and appreciate how special the day is. We did and it was the best advice we were given!!
