"When dressing a room I add layer upon layer of colour, texture and pattern to achieve the perfect balance of style and comfort.
Cushions are an essential element as they bring character and warmth; a depth of colour, soft textures, intricate patterns, embroidered details...."
Lucy Marsh
A strong geometric block print pattern or embroidered fabric on a cushion cushion will add character and detail to an interior scheme.
Cushions can bring an uplifting flash of colour which brightens a calm space.
On a three seater sofa, I allow 5-6 scatter cushions; two large in each corner (50x50cm) with two smaller ones in front (45x45cm) and two rectangular shaped cushions (50x30cm) in the centre. The Wedding Present Company supply brands such as Wicklewood that do cushion sets - available to add to your wedding list.
Lucy Marsh offers a bespoke cushion design service. For all your interior design queries contact Lucy and her team or email: enquiries@lucymarshinteriors.com. If you need help with your wedding list and what cushions to add, reach out to your wedding list advisor who will be able to help you with suggestions.
