WPC Real Wedding: Charlotte and Angus' Sequinned Hampshire Wedding

Visiting the showroom and seeing all the beautiful brands available for our wedding gift list. The process was simple and efficient, and the website made everything really easy to set up. The Wedding Present Company has very kindly stored our presents for us whilst we relocate, which was especially helpful when relocating back from Tokyo. It couldn't have been a better service and with the flexible gift list, we are so excited to receive the delivery of our gifts for our new London home.

A very romantic sunset on Mt Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii! After the most amazing day on the beach, snoozing and swimming in the sun with 5 incredible turtles and the whole beach to ourselves, we drove up to the top of the volcano to watch the sunset. We could see the moon coming up on one side as the sun went down on the other - the most spectacular view with rainbows of colours. As the temperature dropped off, on went our beanie hats and cosy coats. We sat and watched the stars appear before heading back down to head to dinner, and just as we were leaving, Angus got down on one knee and said - one more thing before we go....and said some incredibly sweet and romantic things - and that was it! We were engaged!

A church ceremony followed by our reception at Pylewell Park. This venue really needs no introduction. It’s beautiful - full of old English glamour, romance and grandeur.

Flowers and decorations were by the amazing Jenna at The Summer House. We added gowns, bagpipes, sequins, tumbling wild flowers, sparklers and a mega band to the already incredible décor at Pylewell Park.

Tara Sanger for Makeup and Tori at Riot Hair are THE BEST TEAM EVER. Both are the most kind and amazing women who made the day so relaxing, fun and luxurious. Both work together very closely so they are the best pair ever!

Angus wore Tartan trews with a waist coat by SirPlus. His shoes were from Russell & Bromley.

My bridesmaids looked amazing in Ghost. We chose an outfit from John Lewis for our flower girl. Our page boy wore Scottish tartan and John Lewis. 

Our Wedding Menu was by Vanilla Catering.

We had a delicious wedding cake with different flavours for the different tiers; elderflower and lemon and chocolate, rum and orange whicch we cut with family regimental swords.

For wine, we served The Chocolate Block (red),  Le Pouille Fume (white), Cloudy Bay Pelorous & Mercier Champagne. We had barrels of Otter Ale and Ringwood Beer. We kept the dancefloor fuelled with Espresso Martinis and Mojitos.

Lara Arnott is amazing and we were so lucky to have her there with us - best wedding photos ever!

The most hilarious and personal poem from our Vicar. It made our ceremony even more special.

Remember to live in the moment and try not to focus on too many tiny details on the day. Prep your ushers with prompts and timings, that way your photos are quick and easy so you can enjoy more of your day!

Groom - greet each guest as they arrive at the church so you feel like you have seen everyone and can enjoy the rest of the evening with whoever you want, rather than feeling like you have to do the rounds!

Bride - take a deep breath and enjoy your moment!! It only happens once (hopefully!) so take it all in and don't forget to smile!!
